TWO NEW PIERS MORGAN UNCENSORED SPIN-OFFS FIND A LINEAR HOME ON 5
Two new shows from Piers Morgan's trailblazing digital media business, The Royals Uncensored and World Cup Uncensored, have been picked up by broadcaster 5 just weeks after launching on YouTube.
World Cup Uncensored, launched last week, sees Piers Morgan partnering with former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan for a star-studded World Cup show featuring former England captain John Terry and a host of special guests. The show runs for the duration of the tournament bringing debates, expert analysis and fan feedback. The unfiltered trio of Morgan, Jordan, and Terry has proven an immediate hit with football fans: the first episode clocked more than three million views cross platform and made media headlines.
The Royals Uncensored, hosted by award-winning journalists Katie Nicholl and Jo Elvin, with insider analysis from the King’s former royal butler Grant Harrold, gives viewers a glimpse behind the velvet curtain with insights on everything royal; providing expert analysis, fearless debate and breaking royal news. Launched on YouTube and podcast platforms on April 30, The Royals Uncensored amassed more than a million views on YouTube alone in its opening weeks and already has an average of 140,000 viewers per episode.
Both shows will air on 5 from the end of June, with The Royals Uncensored on Saturdays from 27th and World Cup Uncensored kicking off from Monday 29th.
The announcement follows Uncensored’s flagship show, hosted by Piers Morgan, being signed up by the network in the Autumn of 2025. Currently a compilation of the very best bits of the current affairs YouTube show airs on 5 on Friday evenings, the first time a YouTube current affairs show had jumped to linear television in the UK.
Piers Morgan said: “This marks a major milestone in the evolution of Uncensored and is a fantastic achievement for the team, especially considering World Cup Uncensored and The Royals Uncensored launched just a few weeks ago. The response from audiences has been incredibly encouraging, and bringing the show to 5 is a testament to the appetite for smart, engaging and entertaining royal coverage. I’m thrilled both teams will be joining me on 5 as the brand continues to grow.”
Simon Jordan said: "The menage-a-trois the world never knew it needed: Simon Jordan, Piers Morgan and 5. Nice to work with a like-minded, forward-thinking linear broadcaster that looks to bold, fearless and discovery-based broadcasting."
The Royals Uncensored host Katie Nicholl said: ‘’The response to the launch of The Royals Uncensored has been incredible. From the outset we said we’d create heat in this genre and that’s exactly what we’ve done. From breaking exclusive stories to fearless debates with our brilliant guests, The Royals Uncensored is packing a punch. Jo and I are having a huge amount of fun making the show and hope that you are enjoying watching it.”
Fellow host Jo Elvin said: “To have more than a million views mere weeks after our launch is proof that our engaged audience has truly embraced our mix of exclusive news and rare insights into royal life. I can’t wait to bring our uncensored royal reporting to an even bigger audience with this exciting new partnership.”
Federico Ruiz said: “The Uncensored brand continues to deliver online, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on it. We’re really excited to expand our partnership with Piers’ outstanding team, blurring the lines between linear and digital, and bringing fresh audiences to great content.”
Commissioned by Federico Ruiz, Commissioning Editor 5 and Paramount +, Piers Morgan Uncensored is a Wake Up Production.
Watch/stream The Royals Uncensored on 5 from June 27th and World Cup Uncensored from June 29th.
Piers Morgan Uncensored launched on YouTube in April 2022 as a bold, opinion-led news and debate show hosted by Piers Morgan, distributed globally via YouTube and podcast platforms. In under four years it has become one of the fastest-growing independent news and opinion brands in the world, with more than 4.4 million YouTube subscribers, over 1 billion lifetime views, and 1 million-plus daily views across platforms.
The flagship show anchors a fast-expanding multi-vertical network. History Uncensored with Bianca Nobilo extends the brand into long-form historical storytelling, and a dedicated sports vertical is launching in 2026.
Uncensored is backed by an investor group led by merchant bank The Raine Group and Theo Kyriakou's Antenna Group. In a further mark of its growing scale, Uncensored has partnered with TIME Studios — the Emmy Award-winning television, film, and branded-content studio — to co-produce and distribute a new ongoing long-form interview series.
